Michael D. Willard

Dr. Willard graduated from Texas A & M University in 1975. Internship in internal medicine was held at Michigan State University. He held teaching positions at Michigan State University, Mississippi State University and now at Texas A & M University. Dr. Willard is professor of clinical small animal specializing in gastroenterology, diseases of the liver and pancreas, and endoscopy. As part of the post-graduate continuing education of veterinarians, he gave more than 2 500 hours of lectures. He is the author of over 80 reviewed publications and more than 100 chapters in books. In his free time, he is cultivating land and breeding animals, fishing and playing chess (which gives him joy, even though he is not a master in it).
