Larry Cowgill

Larry Cowgill recived a DVM title at the University of California (UC) Davis. Internship and residency took place at the University of Pennsylvania. In the years 1973-1976 he was a member of the board of the National Institute of Special Health Research Section Kidney and Electrolytes, Medical School, University of Pennsylvania, where he conducted extensive research in the field of nephrology. At that time L. Cowgill received his PhD degree in the field of comparative medical sciences. Larry Cowgill is also a certified member of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. Currently serves as deputy dean for Clinical Program for Southern California, vise director of Veterinary Medical Center at UC San Diego and a Professor in the Department of Medicine and Epidemiology School of Medicine UC Davis. Professor Cowgill oversees programs and Nephrology Clinical Hemodialysis Unit Animal Companion in the Academic Veterinary Hospital in Davis and the Veterinary Medical Center, UC San Diego (UCVMC-SD). Cowgill has over 35 years of professional experience in the field of internal medicine, nephrology and teaching. He is also a teacher of many leading veterinary nephrologists worldwide.
