Ludovica Dragone

Ludovica Dragone in 2002 graduated from the University of Parma in Italy, defending a thesis on the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation of dogs under the care of dr Luisa De Risio. Her knowledge she expanded in the US, where she practiced at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine University of Tennessee under the supervision of prof. Darryl Millis and in North Carolina under the supervision of prof. Denis Marcellin. In 2005, at the University of Tennessee received the title CCRP (the Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner). She participated in numerous continuing education seminars on rehabilitation, both domestic and international, not only as a student but also as a lecturer. Since 2003 she participates in meetings of lifelong learning SINVet (Italian Society of Veterinary Neurology), and since 2006 she is the director of courses in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation dogs organized by SCIVAC (Italian Companion Animal Veterinary Association). Since 2007 she is leading the research group, which deals with the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation of dogs, and since 2010 she has been a president of SIFiRVet (Italian Society of Veterinary Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation). Since 2011, she has been a vice president of VEPRA (Veterinary European of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Association). Ludovica Dragone is the author of a large number of articles on rehabilitation and manual Fisioterapia Riabilitativa del cane e del gatto (Ed Elsevier 2010). She also created a DVD Vet Unit Fisioterapia: Itinerario Clinico e Metodiche Med Tutor Veterinaria (Ed UTET 2012). She is a co-author and author of one of the chapters of the second edition of the manual Canine Rehabilitation & Physical Therapy (Millis and Levine, Ed Elsevier, 2013). She co-created the monograph of hip dysplasia (Ed Merial, in press). Ludovica Dragone runs her own veterinary practice - Dog Fitness in Reggio Emilia, Italy, where she runs rehabilitation of dogs and cats using the latest available techniques.
