Jacek Garncarz

Dr Garncarz graduated from the Veterinary Faculty of Warsaw University of Life Sciences (WULS) in 1991. In years 1990-1997 he worked as an assistant in Small Animal Surgery Department at WULS. After finishing ophthalmology internship at Royal Veterinary College University of London in 1996-1997, he opened his own Veterinary Ophthalmology Clinic in Warsaw, which he owns until today. Since 1993 he is a member of ESVO (European Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology) and ISVO (International Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology). He was the first polish doctor of veterinary medicine who was put on a list of a members of ECVO (European College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists) - a renowned European college of veterinary ophthalmologists in 2014, where he also obtained a title of ESE ECVO (Eye Scheme Examiner ECVO). Since 2015 he is a member of a Hereditary Eye Diseases (HED) Committee of ECVO. Also a veterinary ophthalmology teacher at the veterinary faculties in Warsaw and Poznan and a lecturer at postgraduate studies. Invited as a speaker to many congresses, symposia, workshops. Author of almost 100 articles from the ophthalmology field in veterinary journals. Editor of the polish edition of „Slatter's Fundamentals of Veterinary Ophthalmology”.
