Matt W. Miller, DVM, DACVIM, Professor

Dr. Miller received his doctorate degree in veterinary medicine from The Ohio State University in 1984 and his Masters of Science degree from the same university in 1993. He completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at the West Los Angeles Veterinary Medical Group from 1984-1985 and a cardiology residency at the Ohio State University from 1985-1988. Dr. Miller became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Cardiology) in 1988.

He is currently Professor of Cardiology in The Department of Small Animal Veterinary Clinical Sciences in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University. He is a Charter Fellow of the Michael E. DeBakey Institute of Comparative Cardiovascular Science and Biomedical Devices, and a staff cardiologist for the Texas Veterinary Medical Center.

Sonya G. Gordon, DVM, DVSc, DACVIM, Associate Professor

Dr. Gordon graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph, Guelph, Ontario, Canada in 1994 and earned her DVSc in Veterinary Cardiology from the same university in 1998. Dr. Gordon became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Cardiology) in 1999. She is a Charter Fellow of the Michael E. DeBakey Institute for Comparative Cardiovascular Sciences and Biomedical Devices at TAMU. Dr. Gordon received the Richard H. Davis Teaching Award at TAMU in 2004 for excellence in teaching.

Her research interests are: canine chronic degenerative valve disease, dilated cardiomyopathy, interventional cardiology and clinical studies.

Dr. Gordon is an Associate Professor of Cardiology at Texas A&M University.
